BIRDS IN HARMONY/Kinston
An array of birdhouses, feeders and bird accessories is on display through Saturday at historic Harmony Hall, 109 E. King St. The Eastern North Carolina Birdhouse Show, Sale and Competition is free and viewable from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Saturday. Awards will be presented Sunday during the annual Southern Brunch on the grounds of Harmony Hall, sponsored by the Lenoir County Historical Association. UNDERGRADUATE EXHIBITION/Greenville
The annual ECU School of Art and Design Undergraduate Exhibition is on view in the Wellington B. Gray Gallery through Saturday. Area curriculum coordinators in the School select the outstanding works submitted from more than 600 undergraduate students. The judge, artist and curator is Catherine Coulter Lloyd, visual arts specialist at the Maria V. Howard Arts Center in Rocky Mount and Asheville native. Gray Gallery is off Fifth and Jarvis streets in the Jenkins Fine Arts Center. RIVERBOATS/Wilmington
On April 2, 1988, Wilmington’s historic downtown waterfront changed forever when the Henrietta II’s red and white 16-foot diameter paddle wheel churned up the Cape Fear River. Cape Fear Riverboats will celebrate 25 years in Wilmington with a celebration Saturday and Sunday along the Cape Fear River. From 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday, residents and visitors can board and tour the Henrietta III, just as they toured the Henrietta II 25 years ago. Three tours will be offered on Sunday at the 1988 rate of $5.50 for adults and $3 for children. These prices are valid that one day only.
