Exhibits on view in the CCA's galleries

A photography exhibit of Dr. Charles H. Classen Jr.’s "Animals of Africa" is on display in The Hampton Gallery of the Community Council for the Arts. He has captured images of animals and nature around the world. Classen is an orthopedist at Lenoir Orthopedics and an instructor at ECU’s School of Medicine.

In the Permanent Collection Gallery is "One Cut in Front of the Other," a collection of hand-cut stencil paintings by Jason Clark of Jacksonville.

A display of Brandon Cordrey’s mixed media is in the Minges Gallery. A Rutherfordton native, Cordrey is a studio artist who manages the Lee Hansley Gallery and lives in Raleigh.

These exhibits will be up through Nov. 2. A free and public opening reception will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the arts center, 400 N. Queen St.
